The computer turned out to have been toasted quite nicely, it didn't even start after replacing the PSU. But, in all the sadness the disks were alright - so I managed to save all the data. Huge success! The problem now is that I don't have any way of recording TPOS #40 for all you freaks, I'll see if I can figure out a solution in the coming week!

Yesterday my computer broke down. I came home after work and the apartment was smelling more weird than usual, and after looking around I found the computer was smelling like it had been torched... Apparently the power supply has died, I'm just hoping the disks are okay since they contained just about everything I've done since May. All tracks, all mixes, all video, all pictures. I'm gonna cry like a baby with stomach ache if it doesn't run properly after the PSU is replaced.

But now I know: ALWAYS make backups. Always.

I've always had a weak spot for early electronic music like electro, disco, acid and all that stuff - but this just blew my mind! Todd Terje, that norwegian genius, did an acid edit of the 1979 hit "Pop Muzik" by M and I just love it. I know it's not exactly brand new (it came out in September) but some of you might not have heard it... So wait for the five minute mark and hold on to your hats!

I thought some of you might be interested in my fave tracks of 2009, it's been a year when too many tracks got released and the recordlabels seem to forget about quality control as they don't have to pay for pressing records anymore... Remember the days when you went into a recordshop (physically - not on the web!), listened to a bunch of records for an hour or two and ended up with a nice pile? Nowadays you have to listen to thousands and thousands of sample clips on websites just to find 20-30 tracks that are good enough. It's kind of sad, really.

But I'm not gonna nag about that anymore, here you go - 2009's best...

...original productions:

1. House Of House - Rushing to paradise (Walkin' These Streets)
A 13 minute long epic journey, absolutely brilliant.

2. Paul Kalkbrenner - Sky and Sand
It has a certain feeling to it that just is unexplainable.

3. Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso & David Guetta - How Soon Is Now
Without the voice of Julie McKnight this would probably just be another track, she is amazing.

...remixes:

1. Temper Traps - Sweet Disposition (Axwell & Dirty South remix)
"A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh, a kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs..."

2. Bob Sinclar - New New New (Avicii remix)
What a great job by Avicii, the original was some of the worst shit I've heard in years!

3. Basement Jaxx - Raindrops (Funkagenda & Paul Thomas re-dux)
I'd pay a million to play this at a festival just as it starts to rain.

...bootlegs:

1. Fedde Le Grand - Amplifier vs Walking On A Dream (Goodwill bootleg)
Played by everyone, non stop - and there's no question why. Massive.

2. Beastie Boys - Time To Get Ill (Avicii bootleg)
The loudest and cockiest track of the year, and that bassline... Man!

3. Lily Allen - The Fear (Bart B More bootleg)
Don't know if it's the guitar or the patented Bart B More-noises, but it's really nice.

Ok, so I might not be the biggest fan of Deadmau5 and I've never understood why he accepts DJ-gigs when he doesn't actually DJ and also has said that he hates DJ's...
But this was just too much and too fucking stupid! I feel ashamed - for him!
